Category: Access Instruments

The SPOTLIGHT™ Access System was developed in order to provide surgeons with a complete package for minimally invasive access to the spine, with a system consisting of ports with superior lighting capabilities previously unseen in the marketplace, a rigid arm that allows adjustments to be made within the sterile field, and the most comprehensive microdiscectomy instrument set.

Intended Use

Indications
The SPOTLIGHT Access System is intended to provide the surgeon with minimally invasive surgical access to the spine by ensuring the placement/positioning of the port, down to the lamina, with its attachment to a rigid arm to provide a self-locking method of access to the spinal site that can be visualised using a microscope or loupes, and through which surgical instruments can be manipulated. SPOTLIGHT System is used for procedures in the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine.

Features & Benefits

Features Benefits
As minimally invasive surgery becomes one of the fastest growing areas in spine, neurosurgeons and orthopaedic surgeons alike are pursuing interbody fusions, pedicle fixation, and anterior and posterior cervical and thoracic spinal surgery through tubular retraction ports. With smaller incisions and smaller working channels, visualization at the operative site becomes ever more critical to the success of these MIS procedures.

The SPOTLIGHT® Access System was developed in order to provide surgeons with a complete package for minimally invasive access to the spine, with a system consisting of ports with superior lighting capabilities previously unseen in the marketplace, a rigid arm that allows adjustments to be made within the sterile field, and the most comprehensive microdiscectomy instrument set.

Finally, MIS is ready to step beyond the world of shadows.
