SynPOR™ Smooth System is a synthetic, non-resorbable, porous implant material, intended for the augmentation and reconstruction of the craniofacial skeleton. SynPOR implants are made of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, featuring a network of open and interconnecting pores. The implant’s porous structure promotes tissue ingrowth and results in rapid integration and stabilization.
The SynPOR product portfolio comprises sheets and orbital floor plates as well as designs with incorporated titanium mesh for increased strength and contour retention. SynPOR Smooth implants, with a smooth superior surface, minimize tissue adhesion and allow for a superior motility of the globe.
SynPOR Implants are intended for the augmentation or reconstruction of bony contours in the craniomaxillofacial skeleton in non-load bearing indications only1.
