The BIOCRYL® Interference screw is provides secure fixation for cruciate ligament reconstruction procedures. The screw is comprised of 30% osteoconductive β-TCP and 70% Poly-L-Lactide (PLLA) polymer.

 

Intended Use

The Interference Screw is intended for attachment of soft tissue grafts or bone-tendon grafts to the tibia and/or femur during cruciate ligament reconstruction procedures.

BioComposite Comprised of 70% PLLA/30% β-TCP  Resorbable Biocomposite of Poly-L-Lactic Acid (PLLA) and Osteoconductive β-TriCalcium Phosphate (β-TCP).
Micro Particle Dispersion (MPD)Technology  MPD is a unique and proprietary process used in manufacturing Mitek Biocomposite Screws. It ensures a homogenous blend of resorbable PLLA polymer and osteoconductive β-TCP. A homogenous blend of both materials reduces stress risers and ensures osteoconductive β-TCP is in contact with bone once implanted.
Radiopaque  β-TCP enables the implant to be visible on x-ray
Chamfered screw hub  Provides a fully threaded screw with atraumatic tissue fixation
Cannulated  Cannulated for 1.1 mm Diameter Guidewires
Variety of size options  Screws are available in diameters from 7 to 11 mm and lengths from 23 to 30 mm.
Compatible Instrumentation  Guidewires, Tunnel Notcher, Starter Tap, Modular Driver handle and length specific Driver Shafts
