Category: Synthetic bone graft substitutes
chronOS™ Granules and Preforms System are widely used as osteoconductive bone graft substitutes. Perfusion of the highly porous β-tricalcium phosphate material with autologous bone marrow introduces blood cells, growth factors, and osteoprogenitor cells; thus, accelerates and enhances osteointegration.
For easy handling, chronOS preforms are available prepackaged in special Vivify perfusion pouch that allow that allow for simple perfusion with bone marrow aspirate or blood.
chronOS Granules and Preforms System should be used as bone void fillers or augmentation material in zones requiring cancellous rather than cortical bone. This includes the filling of bone defects after trauma, reconstruction or correction in non-load-bearing indications only1.
1For the intended use and a complete set of indications, contraindications, warnings and precautions, see the instructions for use (IFU).
