Category: Resorbable Fixation
RAPIDSORB™ Fixation System is a resorbable fixation system, which was developed for fracture stabilization and craniofacial reconstruction. By using a resorbable material, maintaining from poly (L-lactide-co-glycolide), it presents an attractive alternative to remaining metal implants.
Implants are available as plates, foils, meshes, screws and tacks. They resorb approximately within 1 year by hydrolysis and are metabolized by the body.
The RAPIDSORB Fixation System is intended for the fixation of bone in reconstructive surgery and fracturesof bones in the craniofacialskeleton and as graft containment1.
1For the intended use and a complete set of indications, contraindications, warnings and precautions, see the instructions for use (IFU).
|Resorbable||No lifelong implants; No secondary surgery for implant removal; Eliminates potential growth restriction; no stress shielding|
|Radiolucent||No interference with radiographic imaging or therapeutic irradiation|
